Coverage Information

Coverage of our high-build epoxy coating varies depending on the porosity and profile of the substrate. Below are the theoretical coverage rates per coat:
  • 5kg: Covers approximately 20 m²
  • 10kg: Covers approximately 40 m²
  • 15kg: Covers approximately 60 m²
Note: These figures are theoretical. Actual coverage may vary due to factors such as wastage, site conditions, and the substrate’s profile and porosity. Always account for these variables when planning your project.

Surface Preparation: Ensure the concrete surface is clean, dry, and free from contaminants. Remove any old, flaking paint and sand the area to create a mechanical key for optimal adhesion.

Priming: For best results, apply a suitable epoxy primer based on your floor’s condition:

  • New or sound concrete: Damp Tolerant Primer
  • Dusty or weak surfaces: Deep Penetrating Primer
  • Oil-contaminated areas: Oil Tolerant Primer

Mixing: Thoroughly mix Part A (resin) individually for 1 minute. Add Part B (hardener) entirely and continue mixing for an additional 90 seconds until a uniform consistency is achieved.

Application: Start by cutting in edges with a brush for precision. Using a nylon-bonded resin roller, apply the mixed epoxy evenly across the surface.

Curing: Allow the first coat to cure until it’s no longer tacky (12–24 hours), then apply a second coat. The floor will be ready for foot traffic after 24 hours; however, avoid placing vehicles or heavy objects on the surface for 48 hours. Full chemical resistance develops over 7 days.
